The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information comes from California’s CCPA/CPRA and from similar laws in a growing number of US states. This page covers how it works here.

After You Opt Out

The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.

What ‘Sale’ and ‘Share’ Mean

• The honest description: there is no monetary sale of your data. But where advertising is served here, cookie and advertising identifiers may pass to advertising partners, and the broad statutory definitions can treat that as a sale or a share. Rather than split hairs, we let you opt out of it.
• This covers all of rinseplay.com, including readers interested in Rinseplay who arrive from a search result and read a single page.

How to Exercise This Right

You can opt out by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which this site honours automatically without any message from you; by declining advertising cookies in the consent banner where it appears; or by emailing hello@rinseplay.com under the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. None of these routes requires you to register.

Other state-law rights are described in the State Privacy Notice.
